Couponing Info

Abbreviations used here and on other couponing sites:

  • MC = Manufacturer’s Coupon
  • IP = Internet Printable coupon
  • SS = SmartSource coupon newspaper insert
  • RP = RedPlum coupon newspaper insert
  • BOGO or B1G1 = Buy one get one free
  • ECB’s = Extra Care Bucks at CVS/Pharmacy
  • RR’s = Register Rewards at Walgreens
  • OOP = Out of Pocket expense
  • Overage = amount “made” over what you spent (i.e. full coupon amount is given even if it is above item price)
  • $/$$ = dollar off dollar (i.e. coupons for $5 off a $25 purchase)

Erica’s Stock Up Prices

  • Bread, $1 or less
  • Canned veggies, $0.50 or less
  • B/S chicken breasts, $1.99/lb. or less (fresh), $1.66/lb. (frozen)
  • 85% lean ground beef, $1.99/lb.
  • Cereal, less than $1 per box
  • 8oz. shredded cheeses (i.e. taco cheese), $1 or less

Erica’s Deal Watch (things I stay on the lookout for)

  • Country Crock, BOGO plus MC’s
  • Free egg and milk coupons w/ purchase
  • GM and Kellogg’s cereal deals
  • Any sale item that is free after doubled coupon.  Things I often find for free: yogurt (Yo Plus, Activia), pasta (Ronzoni, Dreamfields, Wacky Mac, No Yolks)
