3/24 Copps & Festival Run

*Sorry for the delay in posting.  Another busy week!*

Had a pretty successful shopping week again, and kept my grocery spending under $50 which was a big plus for me.  My Copps list got trimmed down a bit due to a few items on the list being out of stock.  I had just enough on the list to plan for two transactions, but with the out of stock items I ended up only having 5 coupons to double and just did one big transaction instead.  Here’s what I did…

  • Roundy’s 24 pack water, 3.99 – 2.01 SSC = 1.98 (not in picture)
  • Roundy’s bread, 1.19 ($1 bread was out)
  • 4 Pepsi 12 packs, 10.00
  • 3 Treetop juice, B2G1, 2.89 each – 1.00 off 2 (doubled) = 3/$3.78
  • Kellogg’s deal; 4 boxes cereal 1.88 each – (2) $1 off 2 MC’s (doubled) = 4/$3.52 (0.88 each), 2 Nutrigrain bars 1.88 each – $1 off 2 MC (doubled)= 2/$1.76, Clever Kids fruit snacks 1.88 – 1.50 = 0.38, Pop Tarts 1.88
  • 2 Campbell’s cream of mushroom, $1 each – $1 off 2 (doubled) = FREE
  • Roundy’s ice cream, 4.99 – 2.01 SSC = 2.98
  • Hormel little sizzlers, 2.39 – 1.61 YY coupon = 0.78
  • Chocolate milk, 2.99
  • 2 skim milk, 4.58
  • -2.50 Personal Perks
  • -2.00 off purchase from Suave
  • TOTAL = $31.94, saved $45.35 (59%)

Also stopped into Festival for several of their sale and store coupon items this week.  Here’s what I picked up:

  • 4 Flavorite mushrooms, 0.38 each = 1.52
  • 2 pizza sauce, 0.88 each = 1.76
  • 3 pizza dough, 0.98 each = 2.94
  • 2 Duncan Hines cake mix, 0.69 each = 1.38
  • 5lb. potatoes, 0.68
  • 2 frozen veggies, 0.48 each = 0.96
  • 2 skim milk, 1.48 each = 2.96
  • eggs, 0.78
  • 2 sour cream, 0.88 each = 1.76
  • 3 shredded cheese, 0.98 each = 2.94
  • -0.15 bag refund
  • TOTAL = $17.53, saved $20.44 (53%)

Total spent for the week was $49.47.  Festival really had some great sale items this week.  I used two whole what pizza doughs to make a delicious calzone using some frozen leftover shredded chicken, frozen broccoli, onion, and cheddar cheese.  It was great!  I have one dough left for a simple pepperoni pizza that I will likely be making tonight.  Yum!

3/24 Copps Double Daze

There’s not a whole lot going on at Copps this week for great deals.  I’m just picking up a few items myself, so I’ll share my list as well as a few other good deals I see.  Visit Minnesota Coupon Adventure for a more complete list.

My List

  • Pepsi, 4/$10 (stock up)
  • Kellogg’s/Keebler, $1.88 each when you buy 8 (I have three coupons for $1 off two boxes of cereal, however my cereal stock is HUGE right now.  I also have a coupon for $1 off 2 Nutrigrain bars.  I may look at getting PopTarts and crackers/cookies, but unfortunately don’t have any coupons for those items.  I do have a $1.50 coupon for the Clever Kids fruit snacks that I got from Vocalpoint if those are included in the sale.)
  • Hormel breakfast sausage, $0.78 w/ Yesteryear ad coupon
  • TreeTop apple juice, B2G1 – $1 off 2 printable
  • Campbell’s soups, $1 each – $1 off 2 printable (doubled) = 2 for FREE
  • Lunchables subs, $1 – $1 MC = FREE
  • Roundy’s bread, $1
  • Roundy’s 5 qt. ice cream, $2.98 -SSC from last week
  • Roundy’s 24 ct. purified water, $1.98 -SSC
  • Mars candy bars, $1.98 -SSC
  • Imperial spread, $0.38 -SSC
  • -$2 off purchase from Suave earned last week
  • -$2.50 Personal Perks earned last week

Other deals

  • Chicken drumsticks or thighs, $0.98/lb.
  • Babybel cheese, $2.99 – $0.55 MC (doubled) = $1.89
  • Yoplait Delights, $2/4 – $1 printable (doubled) = FREE
  • Huggies Jumbo, $8.88 – $3 printable = $5.88

I didn’t get a lot of feedback regarding my question last week, so I’ll probably stick to a format like this, sharing my list and any other good deals I spot.  It would take too much time to do the extensive list, and I reference Minnesota Coupon Adventure for that anyway, which you can do as well if you wish.  Hope my posts continue to inspire you to use coupons and save lots!

3/17 Copps Trip

Another fun day of getting a lot for a little at Copps.  I spent $35.34 and saved $56.23 (61%).  I also earned $4.50 off my next purchase; $2 thank you from Suave and $2.50 personal perks for “spending over $50”.  Ha!  Love that.  😉  Here’s how my two transactions worked out…

Transaction #1:

  • Flour, $0.98
  • Eggs, $0.78
  • Quaker Oats, $0.98
  • Armour sausage, $0.88
  • Brownberry bread, $1.68
  • Tostitos, $1.98
  • Baby carrots, $0.68
  • 3lb. Jonathon apples, $0.99
  • Ragu, $0.98
  • Fudge Shoppe cookies, $0.98
  • GM Cereals, 6/$22.14 – $10 instant savings – (2) $0.75 MC’s (doubled) – (3) $0.55 MC’s (doubled) – $0.55 MC = 6/$5.29 or $0.88 per box, plus $3.25 off milk coupon
  • Sugar, $2.59 (full price, gasp!–ran out yesterday after baking strawberry bread)
  • -$0.15 bag refund
  • Total=$18.63, saved $30.66

Transaction #2

  • Milk; 2 skim @ $2.89, 1 chocolate @ $3.09 – $3.25 off milk from transaction #1 – $1 off Kemp’s milk (doubled) = 3/$3.62
  • Ken’s dressing, $1.66 – $1.00 MC (doubled) = FREE plus $0.34 overage
  • GoGurt, BOGO 2/$2.69 – $1 off 2 MC (doubled) = 2/$0.69
  • English muffins, $0.99
  • Tortillas, $3.89 (full price, egads!, but I needed to restock)
  • 4 Mushroom soups, $0.99 each (thought these were full price, but rang  up on sale, yay!) – $0.25 off 4 MC = 4/$3.71
  • Excedrin, $5.99 – FREE coupon = FREE
  • Suave shampoos, 4/$6.64 – $1 off 2 MC (doubled) – $0.50 off 2 (doubled) = 4/$3.64, earned $2 off future purchase (like 4/$1.64)
  • -$0.10 bag refund
  • $2.50 off next purchase earned through Personal Perks from “spending” $60.07.
  • Total=$16.71, saved $25.57

Just a few changes from my original list:

  • Store was out of Imperial spread and Mars candy bars, so skipped those until next week
  • Added a few items I needed to restock to get me two $25 transactions.
  • Skipped the ice cream, as we’re stocked up right now and I didn’t need it to reach my $25 totals for doubling coupons.

Overall a VERY successful Copps trip, yet again.  If only shopping at Festival was as much fun!  I spent about $34 there earlier this week picking up several of their sale items, bringing my total for the week to about $69.  I’m always glad when it’s under $70, but even more thrilled when I keep it under $50, so that might be my goal in the coming weeks, just for the heck of it.  I definitely have a huge stock built up again so I really don’t need to buy much.  Hope this blog continues to help or inspire you in your own shopping adventures.  Let me know how you’re doing!

3/17 Copps Double Daze

Hey, fellow Copps shoppers!  Getting ready to post tomorrow’s shopping list.  I have a question for you though…  I’m starting to have more of you following my list, so I’m wondering… Would you all like me to continue sharing my personal list before Weds?  Or would you prefer that I list ALL possible coupon/sale deals and then post my own list w/ savings after I shop?  Listing everything would be more helpful for everyone, but just take some more time on my part.  So, let me know what you all would prefer.  There are other sites out there that provide extensive lists, but no one in our area that I know of, so this could be a good direction to go.  Anyway, please comment here, on facebook, or on Green Bay Savers and let me know your thoughts.  (Also, for those of you in SE Wisconsin, the Copps/Pick N’ Save ads follow a week behind the NE WI ads, so you can use the same info one week later).  Thanks!!!

This week there was an extra insert in the paper w/ some GREAT coupons, good this week AND next week.  I’ll note those coupons on my list with -SSC for Super Savings Coupon.  Here’s my plan for the week…

  • Brownberry Wide Pan Bread, $1.68 -SSC
  • Flour, $0.98 -SSC
  • Eggs, $0.78 -SSC
  • Imperial spread, $0.38 -SSC
  • Quaker Oats, $0.98 -SSC
  • Armour breakfast sausage, $0.88 -SSC
  • Tostitos, $1.98 -SSC
  • Mars candy, $1.98 -SSC
  • Baby carrots, $0.68 -SSC
  • 3lb. Jonathon apples, $0.98 -SSC
  • Ragu, $0.98 -SSC
  • 5qt. Roundy’s ice cream, $2.98 -SSC
  • Roundy’s purified water 24ct., $1.98 -SSC
  • Kemp’s milk, ~$2.50 – $1 MC (from SSC booklet, doubled) = ~$0.50
  • EL Fudge cookies, $0.98 w/ in ad Yesteryear coupon
  • GM cereal deal: Buy 6 boxes at regular price, get $10 off plus free milk coupon.  6 boxes at reg. price = ~$20 – $10 instant savings – (2) $0.55 off Chocolate Cheerios printable – (2) $0.75 off Chex printable – (2) 0.55 off Reese’s Puffs printable (printables also available for Total and Wheaties Fuel) = Less than $1/box after some coupons are doubled
  • Roundy’s english muffins, $0.99
  • Ken’s dressing, $1.66 – $1 MC (doubled) = FREE plus $0.34 overage
  • Go-Gurt, BOGO $2.99)  – $1 off 2 printable (doubled) = 2/$0.99
  • Suave deal: Spend $6, get $2 off future purchase.  Shampoo, Conditioner, Deodorant, Body Wash; on sale 3/$4.98 ($1.66 each).  Buy 2 Suave professionals – $1 off 2 MC (doubled), 2 Suave Kids – $0.50 off 2 MC (doubled) = 4/$3.64.  More savings if you use MC’s for $0.50 off body wash, $0.75 off deodorant, $0.50 off lotion, and/or $0.50 off kids body wash.

I have yet to do the math and see if I can do two transactions.  Hoping it will work out so that I can double 5 coupons for the cereal deal and another 5 w/ the dressing, milk and Suave products.  I’ll let you know how it all turns out.  Happy shopping!

3/10 Copps and Festival Shopping

Sorry I didn’t get my Copps list posted in advance.  It’s been one of those weeks so far!  I was scrambling to finish my list and print my online coupons just before bedtime last night.  So, here’s everything all at once.

At Copps today, I spent $24.65 for everything you see below.  I saved $41.37 (63%) with over $15 in coupons.  There are some great coupon/sale match ups today that I didn’t even notice on my initial scan of the store ad.  I’m glad I spent a little extra time looking them up online.  I found an extensive list at Minnesota Coupon Adventure, so check that out if you need more help.

Here’s the list…

  • Roundy’s apple juice, 2 @ $0.99 = $1.98  (Just noticed I got charged $1.34 each!  Will have to take this to customer service.  Yes, I will do this to save on their $0.70 error!)
  • Cottage cheese, $0.88 w/ in ad coupon
  • Whole chicken, BOGO = 2/$7.06
  • Wish Bone dressing, BOGO = 2/$2.39 – $0.75 internet coupon = 2/$1.64
  • Roundy’s 8oz. cheese, BOGO = 2/$2.09
  • Fresh Express salad, BOGO = 2/$1.69
  • 1/2 gallon Kemp’s flavored milk, 2 @ 4/$5 = 2/$2.50
  • Yoplait Kids yogurt, 2/$4 – $1off2 internet coupon (doubled) = 2/$2
  • Ronzoni Smart Taste, 2 @ $1.09 each – $1off2 internet coupon (doubled) = 2/$0.18
  • Dreamfields pasta, $1.59 – $1 MC (doubled) = FREE plus $0.41 overage
  • Blue Bunny Ice Cream, $3 – $1 internet coupon (doubled) = $1.00
  • Mc Cain Potatoes, 2/$5 – $1 MC (doubled) – $0.75 MC = 2/$2.25
  • -$0.20 bag refund
  • 2 gallons milk @ $2.29 each – Free Milk coupon earned last week = 2/$2.29
  • -$1 off purchase earned last week

There were also some great deals at Festival Foods this week.  I haven’t posted my Festival shopping in a while as the deals there are usually not as impressive, but today I got everything below for $13.55, saving $16.96 (55%).  Brian also stopped earlier in the week and picked up another $1 gallon of milk and two packages of chicken at $1/lb. totaling around $7 (not pictured).

Here’s the list…

  • Pork roast, $1/lb. = $3.50 for 3.5 lb. roast
  • Tomatoes, $1/lb. = $1.39 for 1.39 lb.
  • No Yolks noodles, 3 @ $1 each – BOGO MC – $0.75 MC = 3/$1.25
  • Jolly Time popcorn, 2 @ $1 each = $2
  • Milk, $1 w/ in ad coupon
  • Butter, $1 w/ in ad coupon
  • Flavorite shredded cheese, 2 @ $1 w/ in ad coupon = $2
  • Baby carrots, $0.48 w/ Money Saver magazine coupon
  • Sara Lee Honey Wheat, $0.98 w/ Money Saver magazine coupon
  • -$0.05 bag refund

Overall grocery spending for this week was just over $45.  Wish I could keep it that low every week!  My freezers and pantry are reaching overflow capacity again, so I may need to give myself an Eat from Pantry challenge pretty soon.  I’m going to try to slow down the shopping the next couple weeks, unless the deals are too great to miss of course.  🙂

3/3 Copps Results

Sorry this took so long to get posted!  Last week was crazy busy as I was getting ready for a weekend getaway.  I had a fabulous time and can’t wait to do it again.  Glad to be home though as I definitely need to catch up on sleep!  🙂  Anyway, here’s how my shopping trip last week turned out….

I spent $36.48 for everything you see below.  I saved $67.57 (65%) with over $26 in coupon savings.  I did decide to get the ham meal deal as I found a smaller ham for $17.  I definitely wanted to spend less than $20 on a ham if I got the meal deal so that worked out great since the other free items with it were worth $14.  All of my coupons worked exactly as planned and I did get overage for all of the coupons that were above sale price when doubled.  And, I really did get two gallons of milk for just $0.46!  It was a super successful trip and I really wish they were all that good!

A few changes from my original list:

  • 2 loaves of bread for $1 each
  • Eggo syrup on sale for $2.49 instead of Roundy’s @ $2.50
  • Only 2 Jack’s pizzas instead of 5 (recently OD’d on the frozen pizza, so didn’t want to stock much)
  • Skipped Crab Delights and mushrooms, as the salad I planned to add them to was frozen in my fridge and had to be tossed.  😦
  • $0.25 bag refund, yay!
  • 4 bags of shredded cheese at $1 each

Had I skipped the meal deal, my total would have been just under $20, which was even better than my original plan, so I was very happy with that.  Now I need to figure out my list for this week!  Hopefully will be back soon with that list.
