3/17 Copps Trip

Another fun day of getting a lot for a little at Copps.  I spent $35.34 and saved $56.23 (61%).  I also earned $4.50 off my next purchase; $2 thank you from Suave and $2.50 personal perks for “spending over $50”.  Ha!  Love that.  😉  Here’s how my two transactions worked out…

Transaction #1:

  • Flour, $0.98
  • Eggs, $0.78
  • Quaker Oats, $0.98
  • Armour sausage, $0.88
  • Brownberry bread, $1.68
  • Tostitos, $1.98
  • Baby carrots, $0.68
  • 3lb. Jonathon apples, $0.99
  • Ragu, $0.98
  • Fudge Shoppe cookies, $0.98
  • GM Cereals, 6/$22.14 – $10 instant savings – (2) $0.75 MC’s (doubled) – (3) $0.55 MC’s (doubled) – $0.55 MC = 6/$5.29 or $0.88 per box, plus $3.25 off milk coupon
  • Sugar, $2.59 (full price, gasp!–ran out yesterday after baking strawberry bread)
  • -$0.15 bag refund
  • Total=$18.63, saved $30.66

Transaction #2

  • Milk; 2 skim @ $2.89, 1 chocolate @ $3.09 – $3.25 off milk from transaction #1 – $1 off Kemp’s milk (doubled) = 3/$3.62
  • Ken’s dressing, $1.66 – $1.00 MC (doubled) = FREE plus $0.34 overage
  • GoGurt, BOGO 2/$2.69 – $1 off 2 MC (doubled) = 2/$0.69
  • English muffins, $0.99
  • Tortillas, $3.89 (full price, egads!, but I needed to restock)
  • 4 Mushroom soups, $0.99 each (thought these were full price, but rang  up on sale, yay!) – $0.25 off 4 MC = 4/$3.71
  • Excedrin, $5.99 – FREE coupon = FREE
  • Suave shampoos, 4/$6.64 – $1 off 2 MC (doubled) – $0.50 off 2 (doubled) = 4/$3.64, earned $2 off future purchase (like 4/$1.64)
  • -$0.10 bag refund
  • $2.50 off next purchase earned through Personal Perks from “spending” $60.07.
  • Total=$16.71, saved $25.57

Just a few changes from my original list:

  • Store was out of Imperial spread and Mars candy bars, so skipped those until next week
  • Added a few items I needed to restock to get me two $25 transactions.
  • Skipped the ice cream, as we’re stocked up right now and I didn’t need it to reach my $25 totals for doubling coupons.

Overall a VERY successful Copps trip, yet again.  If only shopping at Festival was as much fun!  I spent about $34 there earlier this week picking up several of their sale items, bringing my total for the week to about $69.  I’m always glad when it’s under $70, but even more thrilled when I keep it under $50, so that might be my goal in the coming weeks, just for the heck of it.  I definitely have a huge stock built up again so I really don’t need to buy much.  Hope this blog continues to help or inspire you in your own shopping adventures.  Let me know how you’re doing!
